Amex India drops Etihad Guest as a points transfer partner
Membership Rewards points can no longer be transferred to Etihad Guest in India from 1 July 2026, as part of Amex's global exit from the partnership. Transfers had been at a 2:1 ratio.

Live From A Lounge reports, from cardmember emails, that from 11 October 2026 each proprietary Amex card's Membership Rewards balance will be kept separately, with no transfers between cards. Amex India hasn't published this on its website, and its current Membership Rewards terms still allow linking cards to pool points.
